The weekend started on friday itself. Showers from early morning brought down the temperature quite good.Office greeted me with scarce junta all busy chalking out the plans for the long weekend.I had no work whatsoever so was timepassing on laptop and doing my side of r&d of places to see in the long weekend. We( me being the only TCSer,other from other company but thankfully desis) had finally , after a weeklong debate on where to go , decided to go to our originally intended desination Sugar Moutain.Alright that sounds really cheesy but Amreekans do make cheesy names.eeew.
Anyways Friday i had decided to join the people who were going to other city to watch hindi/telugu movie.It would be the first indian movie (and theatre movie) in USof A. We started off at around 4 with conditions still overcast but pleasant.Since i was at the backseat, i managed to catch a gud nap while ignoring the telugu conversation(which i could not understand slightest other than few english words).A couple of hours later we were in the balaji temple. My first visit to a temple since god knows when. :D
After temple it was time to barge into the indian grocerie store. I shopped like crazy fellow picking out any recognizable stuff. each and every masala powder i could lay my hands on. Ended up buying a whole lots of stuff. It may last for couple of year maybe ..heheheh... paid the bills and stormed into the attached pakistani (indian) restaurant which greeted us with special EID buffet. I pleased my starved apetite with nice mutton and chicken and biryani while the tv played annoying pakistani comedy aarggghhhh ... we hurried our full (overstuffed ) bellys to the theatre..
by this time i was literally shivering from the chilly wind ... and the theare was warm with DESIs eveywhere around... although being just a minute from the show to start we managed to get the backseat .. and then saw Taare Zameen Par... A very nice movie indeed ... quite emotional .. i must admit... by this it was 1 am .. and we cruised back to our city ... 5 min into the highway and i was dozing ...
A veeer to the right shook me off from the slumber and found that my friend Kishore who was driving the car had taken an exit for gas.. and then decided not to take gas at that time ... now trying to find the way back we somehow took a wrong turn...and then we went into a rural patch with narrow road and crawling speed .. finally Kishore decided to swithch on the GPS .. and after 10 miles more we were back into the highway .. about 3.30 i reached home.
Saturday i slept most of the time intermittenly watching movies and SCRUBS :D ... and downloading more movies .. ( about 10 GB ) ... Ranjit ( my senior here) invited me for the dinner .. had rice with shrimp curry .. amazing ... Deepesh (Satyam guy) and i took pics ( at 11 pm chilling nite) infront of a decorated apartment and then headed for a short slumber before waking up at 5........to be continued in the next ... gotta have pulao !! :D
